Scottie and I climbed a few laps at Jessie Gerard on Sat, had a blast, did 5 laps and had some lunch, heres a few pics I took from my phone while we were there, and a small vid.

The vid is of the smaller more vertical section which we climbed after the larger section, we did some downclimbing laps too instead of being lowered by the belay.

I like the X-15s, very retro through.

Here's the larger section

And the smaller more vertical section

Hoping Thursday will be good

Man I saw you post up these picks days ago and was waiting for a report. Nicely played guys. You really can't tell how tall the ice is in the photos or movie until Scott
comes into frame. At first the ice looked only a couple feet high. Hopefully we all see some good snow on Wednesday and BC turns will be in for all of us. I'm still reeling about no attending the Daks with ya. s Lips sealed cks

Yeah, thats why I put the video up, I thought it gave a sense of scale.

I wish I kept recording though, Scottie's comments on how I was trying to capture him falling while hiking out was funny.

He took his crampons off while I kept them on, and he thought I was trying to record his epic slide down the gully.

Love the pics and the video.

Never would have expected that place to look like that in winter - pretty damn wild.

I was up there in the fall and could imagine a slip from up top on the ice would be the start of quite a wild trip down to the bottom, pretty bumpy too, ledge after ledge....ouch  Shocked

How's the ice axe holding up?  Still sharp as a surgical blade?  Grin
